Our Mission
To improve mental health and wellbeing in Hull and East Yorkshire by fostering meaningful relationships, compassionate communication and community connection. We believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change when given the right support.
Our Approach
Our inperson counselling, group therapy, and community connection events offer a safe, welcoming space for you to talk, explore, and grow.
Whether you’re seeking personal support or simply looking to connect with others over a cuppa, we’re here to walk the journey with you.

Face to Face
Inperson sessions allow for presence, attunement, and genuine connection, the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work.

Long Term Support
We don’t believe in quick fixes. Change unfolds over time. We offer steady, relational therapy where you can grow at your own pace.

Ripple of Change
When one person heals, it doesn’t stop there. Their relationships shift. Their community strengthens. Positive change spreads outward.

Connection
Human connection is essential for wellbeing. Our work centres on building connection, with others, and with yourself.

Where the Name Came From
Hopen is made up of two ideas: HOPE and OPEN.
- We are OPEN to change
- We are OPEN to listen
- We are OPEN to new experiences
- We HOPE for the future
- We HOPE for connection
- We HOPE for a better life for all
Hopen: a place of hope, openness and growth.
Our Story
Hopen Minds began with a simple truth: people heal best when they feel seen, heard and supported. Too many people face emotional difficulties alone — not because they want to, but because they don’t know where to turn, or they can’t access the support they need. We wanted to create something different.
A place where therapy feels human. Where connection is valued. Where people can come together, share experiences, and strengthen the community around them.
Born from lived experience, professional expertise, and a deep belief in the power of compassion, Hopen Minds is here to walk alongside individuals, families, groups and the wider community

One Life, Many Ripples
When one person heals, their relationships change. Their family feels it. Their workplace feels it. And slowly, a stronger, more compassionate community grows.
